Methods of Sale

Auction

A sale by auction is an ideal method of sale for smaller parcels of land, building plots and speculative land opportunities. Through a sale by auction you will benefit not only from the best price under competitive bidding in the auction room but also the speed and security that an auction sale provides.

Tender

A sale by tender is an excellent way to ensure that interested parties submit their best offers on the same day whilst competing with other potential buyers. This method of sale is ideally suited to larger development sites or land without planning consent in place as it gives sellers the opportunity to sell on a ‘subject to planning’ basis and pass the responsibility of obtaining planning consent on to the developer.

Private Treaty

A sake by private treaty may be more appropriate for development sites with planning consent in place for 10 units or more. This will allow prospective buyers sufficient time to carry out the necessary due diligence and raise development finance if required.
